The museum is located right across the Ethnography Museum in Güpgüpoğlu Mansion. The mansion, known as Imamzade Raşit Ağa Mansion and serving as Atatürk House and Museum today, is an old Turkish house from the Late Ottoman Period, built in the XIX century. In addition to its architectural features, the building has historical importance in terms of hosting Mustafa Kemal Pasha in Kayseri. During the National Struggle Period, on 19-20 December 1919, Mustafa Kemal Pasha was hosted in this mansion for two nights when he first came to Kayseri on behalf of the Committee of Representatives. The mansion, which was registered as Immovable Cultural Property to be Protected in 1976, was expropriated by the Ministry of Culture in 1978 and opened to visitors as "Atatürk House" in 1983. On 19 December 1998, the second floor of the building was reorganized and started to serve as the "Atatürk Museum". In the entrance and basement floors, there are the management offices and the exhibition hall of the Fine Arts Gallery Directorate affiliated to our Ministry. 41 inventory works are exhibited in the museum. There are silicone statues of Mustafa Kemal ATATÜRK and his friends.
