Zeynel Abidin Türbesi

"The tomb is located in the east of Cumhuriyet Square in Melikgazi District. The building, which is in good condition, was built in 1886 during the reign of Abdulhamid II. The inscription written by the poet Fevzi, the judge of Kayseri, on the entrance door bears the date H.1303/M.1886. The monogram of Abdulhamid II engraved on an oval medallion is also seen on the inscription. It is known that Zeynel Abidin, one of the notables of the Rufai sect, had a lodge, mosque and fountain in Kayseri in the 15th century, and Boyacıoğlu Ustad Abdi established a foundation for these facilities in the 16th century. Over time, the mosque, dervish lodge and fountain disappeared. The tomb of Zeynel Abidin was built on the site of Zeynel Abidin's grave in 1886. The tomb of Zeynel Abidin is a square planned structure and is covered with a dome. There is Zeynel Abidin's sarcophagus in the middle of the tomb."
