"Location: It is in the northwest of the Greek church in the Tavlusun District of Kayseri Province, Melikgazi District. Condition today: It is partially intact, but most of the frescoes have been spilled. History: It can be stated that the church took its present form in the first half of the 19th century, on the grounds that it was a repair decree dated 1835. Plan and architectural features: The church, which was built in a north-south direction, is located in a courtyard. The upper cover supported by pointed arches placed on legs protruding from the east and west walls is a pointed vault. On the belly of the belt, geometric ornaments arranged in the form of lozenges with blue and purple color paints on plaster can be seen. It is noteworthy that on the north façade where the apse is located, the floor of the apse was raised from the floor of the place of worship. It is noteworthy that the upper cover of the apse in the form of a half-dome was plastered and painted with a dominant blue paint, and the half-dome was decorated with slices in black. While the sun motif symbolizing the Holy Spirit is depicted in the middle of the semi-dome of the apse, there are angel depictions carrying pages from the Bible written in Armenian on the niches on both sides of the apse. Vegetal decorations with acanthus leaves are seen on the arch of the apse niche. In the circular medallions between the vaults, decorations consisting of plates written in Armenian can be seen along with objects such as crowns, books, crosses. Predominantly, shades of brown were used together with blue. It is noteworthy that the apse of the Armenian church in Tavlusun was not oriented to the east (Jerusalem) but to the north. It is understood that the church was directed to the Great Armenian Church in Yerevan. Decoration: The decorations in the building are mostly frescoes made with paint on plaster. Material and technique: Smooth cut stone was used throughout the building. Inscription: The building has no inscription."
