There are many vineyards in the Erkilet District of Kocasinan district. Since it is a perishable product, the harvested grapes must be consumed or processed immediately. For many years, walnut and molasses sausage has been produced for the evaluation of grapes in the geographical border for many years, and because of its shape similar to a cat's leg, this product was named as Erkilet Cat Leg by the local people and became famous with this name. As a result of using large walnuts and white grapes in the production of Erkilet Cat Leg, it has a full and light colored appearance. It received a geographical indication on 08.10.2020.
